I was pleasantly surprised to see double flaming sword at the finale of the Scorpion King just recently. Never had a reason to watch it until someone mentioned this to me. Not a great film but....
Apparently the flames are (mostly) real and not CGI. Which is a bonus for those of us who take this stuff semi-seriously.
Mostly filipino styling on the weapon use - not too bad for an actor at least. He apparently did his own fire stunts.
Are there any other examples in the movies of flaming sword? Or even any other interesting flaming toys?

Re: Scorpion King - featuring double flaming sword!!
Sun, January 15, 2006 - 11:02 PMthey used a few different types of swords in that movie .. and sadly most of the fire was CGI..They used 2 swords fueled by propane and two swords wickied with kevlar and soaked in lamp oil....but the wicked swords dnt work well because the swods lack hand guards and kept burning the stunt man hands.. took him a while to figure ouy fire always travels up and he had to keep the blade higher than the handle at alll times... -
